How do I complete a student project?

Student projects are an opportunity to create your own Edpuzzle video lesson. When your teacher assigns a student project it will appear with all your other assignments for that class. When you view the assignment, you’ll see the project goal, special instructions from your teacher, and the start and due dates (if any).

When you’re ready to start the project, click the “Start project” button. Then choose where to find the video you want to use from the options provided. You can search our library of YouTube videos or upload your own video directly to Edpuzzle. Your teacher will decide whether you can use a YouTube video, upload your own video, or if you can choose either option.

Here’s how to create your project using both options:

Searching for a YouTube video

    1. After clicking “Start project,” select “Find a YouTube video” from the drop-down menu.
    2. Browse through the videos provided or use the search bar to find one that you want to use for your project. (You can also copy and paste a specific video link from YouTube into the search bar at the top of the page.)
    3. To choose a video for your project, click on the video to view it and then click “Use for this project.”
    4. Use the editor to cut the video as needed and add questions and/or notes.
    5. When you’re done, click the “Finished” button at the top of your page.
    6. To submit the project, click the “Turn in” button at the bottom of the page.
    7. If you need to make any final changes before submitting, click the “Edit” button to continue working.

Uploading a video

    1. After clicking “Start project,” select “Upload video” from the drop-down menu.
    2. Either drag the video file into the box with the dotted lines, click "Choose a file…” to upload a video file from your computer, or click “Google Drive” to upload a video file directly from your Google Drive.
    3. Once you've selected your file it will automatically start uploading and processing.
    4. Once the video has finished preparing, click “Edit” at the top of the page to cut the video as needed and add questions and/or notes.
    5. When you’re done, click the “Finished” button at the top of your page.
    6. To submit the project, click the “Turn in” button at the top of the page.
    7. If you need to make any final changes before submitting, click the “Edit” button to continue working.

Once you’ve turned in your project your teacher will grade your work.
