Using Edpuzzle with Toddle

When you integrate Edpuzzle with Toddle, teachers will be able to assign video lessons for students to complete and monitor their progress, all right from within Toddle!

How to Integrate Edpuzzle With Toddle

Teachers will need to ask their IT admin to set up the integration for your whole school or district by following these steps:

1. 1. In Toddle, navigate to the Admin Portal and then School Setup.
   2. Select “LTI Apps” from the left-hand menu.
   3. Enter “Edpuzzle” in the “Service” field.
   4. Locate your consumer key and shared secret. 
      • • To find this information, open a new tab or window and log into or sign up for Edpuzzle.
        • Click on your circular profile icon in the upper right-hand corner, select your name from the drop-down menu to get to your profile, and then click on the “School” tab.
        • In the LMS drop-down menu at the bottom of the page, select “Toddle”.
        • Copy your consumer key and shared secret.
   5. Head back to Toddle and enter your consumer key and shared secret in their respective fields.
   6. Check the box to “Enable LTI tool for teachers” at the bottom of the page.
   7. Click the “Save” button at the top of the page to finish adding the tool for your staff.

How to Assign a Video Lesson on Toddle

1. 1. Go to the Teacher's Dashboard. 
   2. Select a class from the sidebar. 
   3. Navigate to Assignments and create a new learning experience/formative assessment/summative assessment. 
   4. Add the required details for the assignment (instructions, due date, etc.). 
   5. In the Submission Template, select the option to “Add an external tool”  and choose Edpuzzle from the drop-down that appears.
   6. On the next screen, select the video lesson you want to assign and then the “Next” button.
      • • If this is your first time using the integration with a class, you’ll be prompted to log into your Edpuzzle account and then to create a new class (this will set the class up in your Edpuzzle account).
   7. Choose your Edpuzzle assignment settings, like multiple attempts, prevent skipping, speed up videos, or turn on closed captions. 
   8. Click the “Assign” button to confirm your selections.
   9. If desired, add the task to your Class Flow.
   10. Click the “Assign” button at the bottom of the page to post the assignment to your class.

As students complete assignments, grades will automatically sync from Edpuzzle to your Toddle grade book! 

How Students Will Use Edpuzzle Through Toddle

Your students will be able to log in to their Toddle accounts and complete your Edpuzzle assignments right from there! Students will not need to create or use an Edpuzzle account.

To start the assignment, have students click the “Add response” button and then the video lesson will appear. When done, be sure to have students click the “Submit” button at the end of the video and then also the “Mark as done” button.

You’ll see students populate on your Edpuzzle assignment and class lists as they access their first Edpuzzle assignment in Toddle.
